About Ravishankar
Ravishankar Gopalan is Chief Operating Officer of QK Technologies, where he is building operations, delivery excellence, capability building and also leads business transformation. He took on the role in April 2026 after three years on the QualityKiosk’s Advisory Board.
Ravishankar is a banking and transformation leader turned entrepreneur, with more than three decades of experience across financial services, shared services and business transformation. He was a founding member and the leadership team at IDFC First Bank, where he helped establish a new private-sector bank in 2015. He has also held strategic roles across various geographies at Aditya Birla Capital, Citigroup and Reliance Industrial Infrastructure.
Across his career, he has led operations, business, technology, and large-scale transformation programmes, with a steady focus on straight-through processing, operational efficiency, and strong controls. He was also among the early pioneers of agile-led development and change in Indian banking.
He combines deep domain expertise, operational rigour, and strategic vision with a hands-on approach to delivery and technology.
Beyond the boardroom, Ravishankar plays tennis, volleyball and pickleball, and treks at altitude. His most recent trek, the 2026 Mount Kailash Kora, took him over Tibet’s Dolma La Pass (5,630 m), after an earlier crossing in 2024 of Thorong La (5,416 m) in the Annapurnas. A published author, he writes and reflects on eastern philosophy, leadership, people development and lifelong learning.
